This series aired on the Starz network and it was packed with action, adventure and plenty of skin. Unlike many cable shows, this one featured a good amount of male nudity in it. Phillip Winchester plays Leontes.
Saturday night marked my final episode of Camelotthe fantasy show built around the antics of a young King Arthur, the wizard Merlin, the gorgeous Lady Guinevere, Arthur's jealous sister Morgan, and all the rest. The show simply didn't grab me at all, to be honest; it seems to have some deep flaws - the pieces of a great show are in place visual detail, cinematic scale, and so onbut there are a couple of things that seem to stop it taking a place among the TV elite. For a start, I don't think the stories were very interesting.
In the US: Fridays, 10pm, Starz. What do you mean you knew that already? Ah, I see the confusion.
Graphic sex, the reason to pay for premium cable! Lots of boinking goes down on all of these shows, but it's Game of Thrones 's commitment to doggy-style and orgies that puts it over Camelot 's banging against some rocks, The Borgias May-December screwing, and The Kennedys many flirtations. If we were looking for the show with the most incest, Game would be the clear winner: not only are a brother and sister passionately boinking, another brother creepily assesses his sister's rack.
While HBO's Game Of Thrones has been generating a lot of buzz, Starz's Camelot has been comparatively under the radar, despite its having hired a great cast and crew formerly of The Tudors for what appears to be a promising show. Now, the legend of King Arthur has been portrayed many times. But it has never really been shown as it should have been, as a Dark Ages drama.
July 7, by childrenofarthur. There are a few things I like about it. Here they are:.
This weekend brings the premieres of two new high-profile cable shows: The Knickon Cinemax, and Outlanderon Starz. Both shows have a lot going for them — Steven Soderbergh directed the former; the latter is based on a series of best-selling books — but only The Knick can claim the title of Fastest Nudity in Cable History. Congratulations, The Knick!
On premium cable, there will be boob, or at least ass — especially on the dramas. On average, someone will be naked in the first episode of a premium cable drama in eighteen minutes and 36 seconds. To be fair, the king of the premium cable pack, HBO, actually shows more restraint than the other networks: On average, it takes 23 minutes and 33 seconds for someone to appear unclothed. Take a look at the complete, time-stamped list to see to see which shows and networks are most swiftly providing consumers with naked people for their buck.
